'I can't believe you've never eaten sushi before. Are you really Japanese?' Bay teased, pawing at the lilac-haired boy.

'I've never even been to Japan. Besides, I don't really like fish...' Ranmaru shrugged, leaning back against a cushion.

'As soon as we're out of here, I'm taking you to Oishii Sushi and ordering you the biggest plate of sushi they have.' Bay decided. They'd been taking for the last few hours, finally leaning all about each other. It was almost as if they were relaxing in each other's houses.

Almost...

He glanced over at Milo, who had his eyes closed and was leaning against the wall.

'I don't think I need a big plate of anything...' Ranmaru sighed, looking down at the enormous mound of pudge resting on his lap. 'Bay?'

'What is it?'

'If - if we get out of this...'

'When, Ranmaru, when we get out of this.' Bay corrected him.

'Alright... When we get out of this... We can still be friends, right? I mean... I understand if you never want to see me again... I'll probably remind you too much of everything...'

Bay leaned in, pressing his forehead against Ranmaru's.

'You're the only thing keeping me strong right now. If it weren't for you...' He sighed.

'I - I feel the same. I'm... Well, I'm not glad this happened to you, but I'm glad I'm with you...' Ranmaru reached up to wrap his plump arms around Bay's neck - his arm pudge rested on Bay's shoulders, pressing softly against his cheeks.

Bay wrapped his arms as far as he could around Ranmaru's wide waist and started stroking him gently.

'I really like you, Bay, I always have...' Ranmaru mumbled. 'I'm sorry it's not really appropriate...' Bay kissed his nose.

'From here on, we're going to focus on escaping no matter what,' he looked around. 'I think it's alright to make plans now, I'm pretty sure it's midnight. Milo? Milo, are you awake?' Both boys crawled towards the bars of their cage, Milo facing them on the opposite side.

'You know how to escape?' The blonde boy asked, eyes wide.

'I'm not completely sure,' Bay admitted. 'But I think I have an idea. You know the corridor to the pool room? I saw a vent near the floor. Ranmaru and I... We're too big to use it, but you're still small enough.'

Milo went pale. 'Me? But-'

'I'm not sure where it leads, but if you can escape, you can run for help.'

'But I don't know where we are. What if - they catch me?'

'Bay, how is he gonna get to the vent in the first place? You may have convinced him to let us keep our collars off, but Winter's not going to let us off the chains. Especially after what happened.' Ranmaru reminded him.

'You and I are going to distract him.' Bay decided.

'How?'

'We'll talk to him more about the cafe, see what we can find out. The information might be useful. Besides, we can find out where Duke and Lux are. We should act like we're excited to go.'

Ranmaru nodded slowly.

'When should we do this?'

'Winter's taking us again in three days. We need to do it as soon as possible,' He glanced over at Milo. 'While he's still small enough.'

'W-wait. What if I mess up? Bay? I'm scared...' Milo confessed.

'I know it's scary,' Bay said sympathetically. 'But you need to be strong. We've been here about a month now and we can tell you that it only gets worse from here. There were two other boys here before us and whatever that bastard Zero did to them, they completely changed. They started acting like real kittens. We can't let that happen.'

He looked at the other two, waiting for their approval.

'I can help you distract Winter and act excited if I have to.' Ranmaru said.

'I'm really scared but... I can do it.' Milo's voice shook.

'You're being really brave, Milo. You're going to save all of us.' Bay smiled warmly at him.

He really does have a cute face...

'We can do this if we work together...'

---

'Bay, what if something goes wrong?' Ranmaru whispered as the door opened.

'It won't go wrong.' His hand brushed Ranmaru's.

'Bay, I'm scared I'll mess up...!' Milo hissed.

'You won't, don't worry! We'll make sure it's okay.'

'Good morning, kittens~ I hope you all slept well...' Winter edged into the room, but before he could grab the collars, Bay addressed him.

'Winter, I don't want to wear the collar, it's booooooring. I want to play with you!'

Winter seemed surprised. 'You want to play? Really? But... Zero hasn't started your training yet, has he?'

'I want to play and I want you to tell me about the kitten cafe!' Bay smiled brightly as his door was opened. He bounded out, nuzzling into Winter. 'Will you tell me everything?'

Winter looked pleased. 'Of course I'll tell you! But I should put Milo's collar on first-'

'No, no, no! He never causes any trouble, so you don't have to! He can walk behind us!' Bay started steering Winter towards the door. He looked back at Milo and mouthed, go.

'Winter, clean me first~' Ranmaru nudged him, pushing him along the corridor.

'No, I want him to clean me first!' Bay pulled open the door and, once they'd all entered, immediately closed it.

'I can clean both of you!' Winter was so distracted by their energetic behavior that he didn't notice Milo was missing. 'Ranmaru, your hair is so long and silky! I want to tie it back in twin tails - that would look so cute with your face.' He immediately started combing through Ranmaru's long layers with his paws.

'Winter, tell us about the cafes!' Bay reminded him, impatiently tapping on his plump arm.

'The cafes? Well... There are a few of them.' Winter paused, carefully styling Ranmaru's lilac fringe.

'Where did Lux and Duke go?'

'They went to Premium. Most of those kittens are really proud-looking. They have some of the most expensive breeds. But I don't think Zero will send you two there. He told me he was thinking of sending you to Candy.'

'Candy?'

'Yes! Those kittens aren't as expensive, but they're still very cute. It's smaller than the other places, and only three people run it. I've met them and they're so kind to the kittens,' Winter smiled. 'I think you'll really love it there.'

'So what exactly happens at the cafe?' Ranmaru asked.

'Well, they foster you until you're ready to go to a master. Usually it's a few months, but they take really good care of you. They feed you delicious food and you get to cuddle the other boys. Then sometimes, they allow visitors to play with you too.' Winter nodded, remembering.

'So all of the boys Zero takes end up in these... Kitten cafes?' Bay asked.

'Most of them...' Winter nodded. 'I think there's one bunny boy cafe, but I've never been there. I don't like bunnies, they're too quiet...'

Bay looks at Ranmaru, suddenly serious. 'There are places out there filled with kidnapped kids posing as cats...' Ranmaru nodded sadly, realizing how dire their situation was.

'They're not all kidnapped! Most of them are real kitten boys! Only some are k-kidnapped,' Winter sighed. 'I wish you wouldn't say it like that...'

'Well, would you like if someone stole you away from Zero?' Bay demanded.

Winter blinked, confused. 'I guess not.'

'That's what you're doing...' Ranmaru said softly.

Winter appeared to be thinking. Eventually he shook his head. 'No, no, no. Kidnapping is bad. You're only treated badly for a little while, for your own good. You're taught how to behave. But then you get pampered for the rest of your life. It's not bad.'

'So these... People who run the cafes. They have no idea what Zero's really doing?' Bay asked.

'Of course not. It's illegal,' Winter said matter-of-factly. 'Zero gives them false papers so they won't know any better. The only thing he can't give them is parentage, but that's not necessary even for shows.'

Bay thought about this.

Suddenly, the door was flung open, an irate Hunter dragging a terrified-looking Milo by the scruff of his collar.

'I think you're missing one, Winter,' he snarled, eyes burning. 'I found this little cunt running around outside. Occur to you that you're supposed to be watching all of them, you fat retard?!' He spat.

'I didn't... I didn't realize he was missing!' Winter stood up. 'I thought he was right behind us...'

'Why wasn't he wearing a collar, you dumb shit? If I hadn't came back at that moment, he could have escaped! You know what happens if they escape, you fucking tool!' He roughly snatched Winter's arm, nails sinking into soft pudge. Winter squealed, drawing back. 'Your precious Zero will have a lot to answer for! Come here, you little shit,' he yanked Milo by his tail. 'Here was me thinking you were smart enough to behave yourself. I am going to make you regret this!' He snarled nastily in Milo's face.

'I am going to strap you down and you are not getting off that table until you've reached 300 pounds!' Hunter growled, dragging him back out. 'On my day off and everything...'

'Hunter, you can't! You'll make him sick!' Winter pleaded.

Bay and Ranmaru bounded furiously after them, grabbing Hunter's arm.

'Leave him alone!'

'Get off of me, you fat shit!' Hunter pulled out his gun, shoving it in Bay's mouth.

Milo, eyes wide, silently pleaded for them to stop.

Bay gulped, and ducked. 'Please don't do this, it was my idea, I should be punished!' He called out, but Hunter slammed the door in their faces.

'Oh my God, Milo...' Ranmaru gasped.

'It's all my fault...'

Ranmaru looked at Bay, and for the first time he saw tears welling up in his green eyes.

'It was my idea! I made him do this! He's going to get punished because of me!' Bay gasped, terrified.

'No, it's not your fault, Bay. It was our best chance,' Ranmaru waddled over to him, stroking his arm. 'All three of us thought it was the best thing to do!'

'But... He's so young and so scared...' Bay shut his eyes, furious with himself, and slowly sat down.

'It's going to be rough for him, but we'll be there to comfort him. We're in this together, right? Bay?'

'It's over, Ran. That was our only chance. I'm not putting anyone else in danger like that...' Bay said quietly.

'Don't you dare talk like that. Bay! You're the only reason I've been able to hold on this long! Bay, you promised me we would escape! You - you promised me...' Ranmaru sunk down.

'You shouldn't talk about escaping in front of me.' Winter said quietly, then went to get the collars. As he approached the boys, leather straps in hand, he sighed and dropped them. 'I'll let you keep them off.'

Ranmaru glanced up. Winter looked lost.

'I wish you could just go to the cafes and see how happy you'd be...' He sighed, rubbing his eyes, as he began to lead them back to their rooms.

Zero was waiting there.

'I heard there was a bit of an incident. Winter?'

The blue-haired young man lowered his head.

'It was my fault. I wasn't paying attention.'

'Well, then. Looks like we're going to have to start training a little bit early. I'll be taking this one.' He put a hand on Bay's shoulder, who shuddered.

'As for the other -'

'I'm taking him!' Hunter marched back into the room. 'I have the machine set to automatic for that other little fatso. I can take pretty boy here.' He hissed.

Zero nodded. 'Alright. Show me what you can do.'

Hunter narrowed his eyes at Ranmaru. 'You're in for a world of pain, boy.'

---

'I think FATTY suits you well. Considering how fucking enormous you are now. I'd say most of you is fat as this stage. How's that feel?' Hunter demanded, prodding Ranmaru's soft stomach with the rod of his whip. 'To be more fat than human? Imagine what your parents would think if they saw you now... That is, if they even remember you!'

He walked around the chair he'd forced Ranmaru onto, and suddenly shoved a familiar green phone in his face.

'Let's see what your precious family had to say about their baby boy going missing, huh? After all, their boy's got suuuuuch a pretty face, they must be worried sick!' He snarled, then turned on the phone and gave a mock gasp.

'Would you look at that! ZERO messages, ZERO voice mails, ZERO shits to give about their runaway son! Guess they don't really care so much after all!' He laughed.

'You're lying!' Ranmaru yelled, eyes burning. A sliver of doubt crept through his mind - they didn't really forget about me... Did they?

'See for yourself, fatass.' Hunter tossed him the phone. Ranmaru snatched it, his plump fingers shakily darting across they keyboard.

My fingers are too fat to type - I'm not used to this -

There was no signal. Ranmaru opened up his inbox. All of the messages were gone.

'You deleted my messages, you bastard!' He growled.

'I've had that phone in my pocket for the last month and there has not been one missed call,' Hunter purred triumphantly. 'They really don't miss you at all. Hell, by now they've probably moved on. In fact, think of how upset they'd be if you intruded back into their lives.' He put his face close to Rannaru's.

'They've finally gotten over the heartache of their boy just selfishly up and disappearing, when one day this enormous, misshapen lump of fat waddles over to them, claiming to be their son. Would you believe that?'

Ranmaru met his glare, but inside his mind was racing. What if he's right? What if it would be more upsetting for my parents to see me like this?

Hunter stood back, snatching the phone back up. 'Interesting picture, this one,' He paused and held out the only photo Ranmaru kept of his former self, as a constant reminder he never wanted to be big again.

So much for that...

'You didn't tell me you used to be fat anyway,' His orange eyes gleamed maliciously. 'I guess it's meant to be after all. You were always going to be fat. This is your life,' He leaned in. 'Fatter and fatter and fatter-'

Ranmaru lashed out, throwing himself on top of Hunter.

'I'll fucking kill you! I'll fucking kill you dead!' He spat, sinking his teeth into Hunter's arm. He yelled out in pain, then furiously tried to shove Ranmaru off of him, but the boy's weight was too much. 'Bet you regret making me this fat now!' Ranmaru laughed, pressing his full weight into Hunter.

Hunter was grinning.

'W-what...?'

He suddenly pulled away, letting Ranmaru stumble to the floor, and took out a cuff to bind his arms together. He stood up, addressing him with three words.

'Get up, fatty.'

Ranmaru growled and tried to heave himself up - he couldn't. He rocked himself again, trying to sit up, but all of his excess padding weighed him down and without the use of his arms, he couldn't get the momentum to lift himself off the ground.

He yelled again, cursing Hunter.

'That's it. Squeal, piggy, squeal.' Hunter smiled.

There is something helpless about being so massively fat. Swathed in rolls of pillowy padding, you're constantly at the mercy of your own weight...

Ranmaru thrashed around furiously, but his big belly pinned him to the floor, rising on top of his chest like an enormous dome, quivering with every movement.

Hunter leaned down, grabbing handfuls of Ranmaru's doughy fat, and roughly squeezing them.

'Look at this. Look what you've eaten yourself into. You did this to yourself. Done in by your own gluttony... Doesn't matter how pretty your face is, you don't have anything anymore. You're nothing but a mountain of fat! You're useless! Nobody's ever going to love you now, not like this!'

Ranmaru bit his lip, trying to block out his words.

'Think you can go back to the human world? What good would you be? You'd just be a hindrance to everyone! You are useless, useless, useless!'

Hunter's words pounding in his ears, Ranmaru felt utterly helpless.

'Your family don't miss you. And I've been watching you. You don't have any friends. People probably realized you don't have anything to offer aside from your looks, and now they're gone too. You have NOTHING!'

Hunter finally slid off of Ranmaru, leaving him sobbing silently to himself. A few seconds later he loomed back over the boy, whip in hand.

'Now, let's get started, shall we?'

---

Ranmaru stumbled into the cage, instantly tumbling into the corner and rolling himself into a ball. Tears streamed down his cheeks as he shook, completely and utterly defeated.

'Ranmaru?'

Ranmaru managed to brush away his tears long enough to see the fuzzy silhouette of Bay tilting his head quizzically to the side.

'Bay...' He mumbled weakly, desperately wanting the other boy to hold him.

'Ranmaru, why are you sad? I want to play!' Bay tumbled towards him, batting at his ears.

Ranmaru stared at his friend, horrified.

'Bay, what are you-' Bay cut him off, licking his cheek. He suddenly leaned in and whispered.

'You need to act like a kitten. We need to be sent to a cafe as soon as possible. If it was anything like what Zero did to me, I can't let you go through that again.'

Ranmaru nodded, understanding. And even though all he wanted to do was lie down on the floor and cry, he mustered up the energy to tumble around with Bay on the floor, as Zero stood looming over them, watching carefully...
This is turning out much longer than I thought it would be... I think I'm still only at the half way point. Cx

Hunter shows how terrible he really can be. As for Zero... Nothing Is Worse, so maybe you'll never know what he really did to Bay =w=

From the next chapter, I can introduce the rest of the kitten boys! I really wish I had pictures to go with them... No matter, I'm still interested in this story, and I hope that interest stays!
